What I Wanted to Eat vs What I Ate: Day 25

Today was another day of careless eating habits taking control of the wheel. There is a blizzard coming tomorrow afternoon and I was trying to get my preschooler in to see the doctor before we lost our window of opportunity to do so. Breakfast was skipped out of worry. All I wanted was coffee and more coffee and I had absolutely no interest in food.

The doctor visit cleared up some things I had been worrying about so my appetite returned in full force, but I made the mistake of not thinking about what I was eating. Lunch was a snack of Prosciutto and Mozzarella, but I should have eaten something more substantial. Did I mention I found a box of Mango Cremes today? I’m actually really embarrassed to admit I ate it. Yes, it. I thought I could just leave that part out, but then realized the point of these diet posts is honesty – for me more so than the few people that read them.

Dinner was a well thought out and healthy meal of baked fish and spinach. I felt so much better, but was upset at my recent eating habits. I mean really upset. There was only one thing to do. Eat more cookies. And I did. I’m sure someone is saying, “have some self-control, woman!” And I wish I did. I wish I could just put them down and slowly back away. Up until Mango Monday I had been feeling great. My moods were better, I was calm, I was full, I was excited at creating a healthier me. With just a few days of sugar under my belt all of that is but a distant memory.
