What I Wanted to Eat vs What I Ate: Day 17

Antibiotics and sinus pain so severe you would swear one of your teeth had a train tunnel bored through it can fit nicely into a diet plan I’ve discovered. Between stomach pain and mouth pain eating becomes something you do out of necessity rather than desire. Once you take the romance out of food it’s just fuel and I’m not inclined to take more than I need to run. I have also realized that I’m beginning to crave food that is good for me when I just need calories. Or is that the Amoxicillin talking?

My day was spent holding my face or stomach, popping Ibuprofen, groaning, and otherwise helping Ben get his diagnosis for strep. I have spent so many days in front of the pharmacy counter at the local CVS they now recognize me and are fully versed in the illnesses currently being treated in our house.

Day Seventeen

Breakfast

What I Wanted to Eat is What I Ate:

- Large bowl plain yogurt with fresh strawberries
- 1 cup coffee w/half & half

Lunch

What I Wanted to Eat is What I Ate:

- 2 scrambled eggs with cheese
- 1 piece pumpernickel break with sugar-free natural peanut butter

Dinner

What I Wanted to Eat is What I Ate:

1 Slice Bertucci's Sporkie Pizza: Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Ricotta, and Sweet Italian Sausage

Tomorrow may be a somewhat normal day now that we are all fully medicated.
